UE – Varna welcomed Dr. Nikolas Martinez, Head of the Double Degree Programs at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, Finland, for a two‑day official visit.

Since 2015, University of Economics – Varna and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences have maintained a partnership agreement enabling students to pursue joint studies and graduate with a double degree.

On November 10–11, 2025, Dr. Martinez’s program included meetings with Assoc. Prof. Miryanov, Vice‑Rector for International Relations and Partnerships; Assoc. Prof. Zhechev, Head of the Marketing Department and Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator; as well as the team from the International Relations Office.

During his visit, Dr. Martinez introduced the partner university and Finland to UE – Varna’s student community. First‑ and second‑year students enrolled in English taught programs attended his presentations, which generated strong interest and lively discussion.

This visit further strengthened the long‑standing collaboration between University of Economics – Varna and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, reaffirming both institutions’ commitment to providing students with international academic opportunities.
