What is Erasmus +?
The Erasmus + program organizes the exchange of students and doctoral students between the countries of the program (EU, Turkey and
Northern Macedonia) and partner countries (outside the EU). The program funds mobility for training and practice purposes. These opportunities are available for undergraduate and graduate students, and for doctoral students. If you are going to a program country, you can use Erasmus + Online Language Support (OLS) to learn the language in which the lessons will be taught.
Duration
The period of study abroad is a minimum of 3 months for studying and 2 months for practice, The maximum duration for each educational qualification degree is 12 months (12 months for Bachelor's degree, 12 for Master's degree and 12 for Doctor's degree). You can take part in more than one Erasmus + exchange abroad, either as a student or trainee, but the total duration of the periods abroad cannot exceed 12 months in one cycle of study.
Applying
At the University of Economics in Varna, the selection of participants for studying and practice under the Erasmus+ program is carried out through the International Relations Office. The main selection for studing is February-March and an additional applying (for vacancies) in October. The exact dates are announced on the website of UE-Varna and here.
The selection of participants for Erasmus + practice is carried out through the whole year, and the procedure is the following:
- The participant should find an organization where he would like to do his Erasmus + practice, when he is approved by the organization he/she should receive an invitation letter for the exact period.
- After the student is approved, he/she should fill out the application form for Erasmus+ practice and submit it at the International Relations Office or at int_relations@ue-varna.bg
- When approved the student must fill out the Bilateral agreement and Learning agreement for traineeship
- Once that is filled out, signed and stamped by the university and the host organization, he/she can come to the office for signing the contract for the financial support.
