VISA
Mobility students from EU countries are no longer required to obtain a visa D prior to their arrival in Bulgaria.
Mobility students from non-EU countries are required to apply for visa D in order to realize their mobility in Bulgaria. The cost of visa application is 200 EUR.
INSURANCE
Mobility students from EU countries are required to apply for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in their home countries for health coverage at hospitals throughout the European Union.
Mobility students from non-EU states must obtain health insurance for the purposes of visa D application and subsequent arrival in Bulgaria. Health insurance must be purchased for the minimum coverage amount of 30 000 EUR or 60 000 LV and must be valid for the territory of Bulgaria (or the European Union). Each student must hold health insurance valid for the period of their student visa.
