Department of Tourism

The Department of Tourism was established with the foundation of the College of Tourism – Varna in 1963.

The Department is in charge of training students as skilled professionals at junior and middle management in the tourism and leisure industry.  As a result of the training provided by the Department of Tourism, College graduates have key competences, enjoy great job opportunities and may pursue careers in the tourism and leisure industry, in non-governmental and public organizations.

Department of Tourism members are highly qualified and experienced tourism & leisure professionals who apply their hands-on expertise in their teaching. They have successful careers as educators, researchers, and admin staff.

Some of them have extensive experience in EU-funded projects, others specialize in short-term training courses for the industry. Some have had key managerial positions in tourism and education. 

Highly qualified members of faculty from University of Economics – Varna teach some of the key subjects such as: Accounting for Tourism, Law for Tourism, Commodity Science, Restaurant Management.
