The IT Faculty comprises the Department of Informatics, the Department of Statistics and Applied Mathematics, the Department of Physical Education and Sports, and the Department of Languages and Sport.

There is huge interest in MSc Informatics (taught in English), MSc Information Management in Business, and MSc Mobile and Web Technologies.
The Faculty of Information Technologies offers PhD programs in the professional field of Informatics and Computer Science: PhD Informatics, and in the professional field of Economics: PhD Computer Applications in the Economy; PhD Statistics and Demography; PhD Optimal Management of Economic Systems.
IT Faculty members develop and complete research projects on their own and contribute to research conducted by other University of Economics – Varna departments and research structures. They contribute to EU student and staff mobility programmes, teach Erasmus+ international students, deliver
lectures at other European universities as guest speakers. They maintain partnerships with the Bulgarian Academy of Science, large software and hardware companies, the National Statistics Institute, etc.
