The Center for Quality of Goods and Consumer Protection (CQGCP) at the Research Institute of UE – Varna was established by a decision of the Academic Council on June 30th, 2016. It is a research unit that has an academic qualified resource and specialized laboratories for scientific and applied research, consulting and educational activities in the field of product quality and consumer protection.

The activities of the Center include the conducting of scientific research, the preparation of substantiations, expertises and market research for the needs of the business, the state and the local bodies through the use of modern means and methods. The independent experts of the center provide consulting activities on the quality and safety of goods, their packaging, storage, standardization, management, certification and consumer protection.

CQGCP organizes scientific conferences, roundtables, discussions, builds research and partnership networks with business and scientific structures from the country and abroad to implement projects in the field of product quality and consumer protection.
