Representatives of partner universities of UE – Varna from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Latvia, Serbia, as well as third countries outside the EU - Ghana, Jordan, Egypt - took part in the forum, which was held from July 1 to 5, 2024. at UE – Varna. For the first time, representatives of national agencies under the "Erasmus+" program took part in the forum - the agency of Armenia and the Center for Human Resources Development, which is the representative of Bulgaria under the "Erasmus+" program at the national level to the European Commission. The event also aroused interest in the Bulgarian universities, the Academy of Economics "D. Tsenov" - Svishtov and "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" University - Burgas. The opening session was attended by representatives of universities from Varna - TU-Varna, Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy , Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”.
The V-th Staff Week of UE – Varna was the place for creating new contacts, exchange of experience and strengthen of cooperation between universities.
The program of the forum included presentations and discussions on some of the most current topics and activities under the Erasmus+ program - KA2 projects related to sustainable development, participation and organization of BIP mobilities, presentations of the participants.
The activities of the International Week also included a cultural program, entertaining presentations, a short course in Bulgarian and a visit to historical and natural sights in the vicinity of the city of Varna, such as an excursion to the Aladzha Monastery, Balchik and Cape Kaliakra.
The guests and participants of the event had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful view of the Black Sea and to exchange opinions and contacts during the Gala-cocktail held at the "International" hotel in the city of Golden Sands. The presentation of the Certificates for the participants in the forum was held in the Archaeological Museum of Varna, and was combined with a tour of the museum and familiarization with the thousand-year history of Varna and Bulgaria.
The guests of the International Staff Week expressed their positive emotions and congratulations for the excellent organization of the event and the prepared program, expressed readiness for future cooperation between the universities and participation in joint projects under Erasmus+ programme and desire to visit Bulgaria and UE – Varna again.
