In December 2024, the University of Economics – Varna hosted Assoc. Prof. Pensri Jaroenwanit, PhD, long-time Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accounting at Khon Kaen University, Thailand, and Assist. Prof. Piyada Daowadueng, PhD. They participated as guest lecturers for students of the "Human Resource Management" and "International Business and Management" programs.
The main purpose of their visit was to continue a joint scientific project between the University of Economics – Varna and Khon Kaen University, initiated in 2020 with the support of Assoc. Prof. Desislava Serafimova, PhD, head of Management and Administration department. In the the current project also took part Chief Assist. Prof. Katya Vladova, PhD from the Department of Management and Administration and Chief Assist. Prof. Dragan Georgiev, PhD from the Department of Accounting., UE – Varna.
The collaboration between the two universities will continue in the direction of joint PhD programs, as discussed in a meeting with the Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, Prof. Dr. Bistra Vasileva, PhD, Vice-Rector on Research, Innovation, and Academic Staff Development.
A working meeting was organized between the guest lecturers and the staff of the International International Relations Office at the University of Economics – Varna. During the meeting, the opportunities for deepening and increasing academic and student exchange between the two institutions, including within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, were discussed.
