University of Economics – Varna alumni from Cuba visited the university again after 40 years. Married couple Orlando Bravo and Olga Castellanos had an exciting reunion with their Alma Mater and they used this opportunity to share fond memories from their university days.
Having graduated in Tourism in 1984, Olga and Orlando eventually returned to Cuba. Professionally they were always employed in the tourism industry and the couple were emphatic that the knowledge gained and skills developed at UE – Varna had always helped them in life.
The alumni met with Assoc. Prof. Radan Miryanov, PhD, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, and Mr. Evgeni Raychev, Head of the International Relations Office. The couple found their visit particularly emotional, as they sat in one of the university lecture halls, reminiscing of their student years.
During their visit, our international guests spoke in Bulgarian and shared their excellent impressions of the modern changes at University of Economics – Varna. They were introduced to the work of the International Relations Office, the Careers, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing Centre, and the University Library, and they pointed out that University of Economics – Varna had always been a leading provider of excellent education and best career opportunities.
