The International Relations Office at the University of Economics – Varna welcomed a guest from Brazil last week.
Isabel Apel Birtez, who is originally from Florianopolis, Santa Catarina in Brazil, is Founder of ESG Means, a boutique research firm on environmental, social, and governance investment, and Editorial Assistant for the Journal on Policy and Complex Systems.
She is a Bahelor of International Relations at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, a Post-Graduate of Neurosciences and Behaviour at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, and sooon-to-be a Masters’student of Social Innovation at Cambridge University.
Isabel, who is currently staying in Varna, visited UE – Varna to learn more about the Univeristy’s internationalisation strategy, meet the IRO team, and have a tour around the University. She was most impressed to hear that UE – Varna has signed a new inter-institutional agreement with a Brazilian university – the Municipal University of São Caetano do Sul, earlier this year.
Isabel will be staying in Bulgaria until the end of the month and promised to stop by the University again before she departs from the country.
