29 undergraduate students in Business & Management from Nottingham Trent University (UK) completed their remote online training at University of Economics – Varna from 14 Sep to 18 Sep 2020 as part of a joint project between the two universities. UE – Varna professors delivered lectures and Coca-Cola European Partners and Solvay Sodi shared relevant case studies. The NTU students worked in five groups, each supported by a UE – Varna postgraduate or undergraduate student.
Nottingham Trent University is a leading British university with international accreditations by AACSB and EQUIS. University of Economics – Varna has been its fourth overseas training venue following Toulouse, Valencia and Brno.
University of Economics – Varna is the first university in Bulgaria that has organized such remote training for international students. UE – Varna first provided training to NTU students in Sep 2019 when the students attended in person lectures and international business consulting sessions. With UE – Varna as a host of the 2019 innovative educational module, seven leading companies operating locally and regionally contributed to the module.
For several years University of Economics – Varna has collaborated with Nottingham Trent University in a number of educational programmes. UE – Varna is NTU’s partner in its students’ training in international business consulting not just due to its century-old academic legacy but also because UE – Varna is a pro-active stakeholder in the local economy, educating highly competent staff for corporate and public organisations locally and internationally.
The training module in international business consulting is an outstanding academic opportunity for students. In the process of looking for hands-on solutions to corporate case studies, students develop a range of skills, applying core theory, conducting research, and working in teams.
