Memorandum for Cooperation between the University of Economics – Varna and Ankara University

On May 30th, 2024 at the University of Economics – Varna during the official ceremony was signed a Memorandum for Cooperation between the University of Economics – Varna and Ankara University. The Turkish delegation was led by the Vice-Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Hasan Serdar Öztürk. It included representatives of the academic management of Ankara University, professors, and Erasmus+ program experts. From the Bulgarian side, they were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Partnerships of the University of Economics - Varna, Assoc. Prof. Radan Miryanov, PhD the Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator and Head of the Marketing Department Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Zhechev, PhD, the Head of the International Relations Office Slavena Tsoneva, PhD, and other representatives of the academic staff of UE – Varna.

"On behalf of our Rector Prof. Evgeni Stanimirov, PhD I welcome you. I am honored to briefly introduce to you the University of Economics – Varna, which has a history of over 104 years and is the oldest higher economic school in the country", were the words of Assoc. Prof. Radan Miryanov, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Partnerships.

"I would like to express my gratitude to my colleagues from the University of Economics – Varna that we will work together and cooperate. Bulgaria is a very valuable partner for us because we have geographical proximity and common interests", part of the address of Prof. Dr. Hasan Serdar Öztürk, Vice Rector of Ankara University. He also noted that the signing of the Memorandum will be the basis for excellent future cooperation between our two universities.

In the final part of the event, the discussions continued in the direction of intensifying the faculty and student mobility in the majors in both universities.
