The ERACON 2020 Congress of Erasmus+ Coordinators was held online on 19 and 20 Nov 2020. Over 130 representatives of 72 HEIs and 17 EU member states, Russia, Turkey, the Republic of North Macedonia, and Switzerland took part in the ERACON 16th annual edition, organised under the auspices of the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Dr Mariya Gabriel.
In the opening ceremony Prof. Evgeni Stanimirov, the Rector of the University of Economics – Varna, greeted the participants and announced that UE – Varna would host the next ERACON 2021 Congress (5 – 7 July 2021). (https://youtu.be/xbclTzekB5c).
Assoc. Prof. Radan Miryanov, UE – Varna Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Zhechev, UE – Varna Erasmus+ Coordinator, and Evgeni Raychev, Head of UE – Varna International Relations Office, contributed to the event.
The Congress highlights were: Post 2020 Erasmus+, Erasmus + in the Covid 19 pandemic, mobilities quality, etc.
The UE – Varna International Relations Office delivered a presentation in the GO-Exchange Fair, outlining the educational and training advantages the University offered incoming Erasmus+ students. It was emphasized that the University valued and prioritized the expansion of its Erasmus+ network of currently over 200 partner universities.
