University of Economics – Varna has again joined the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Impact Rankings.

UE – Varna is among the four Bulgarian universities and the only university in Varna to have entered the 2024 THE rankings, which assess and rank HEIs on their efforts to drive forward the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs).

The ranking, now in its sixth year, is the world’s only one that measures universities’ contributions to the UN’s 17 SDGs and assesses their commitment to sustainability across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching.

HEIs in the rankings demonstrate excellent results in their contribution to global sustainable development and in their commitment to addressing the most pressing global challenges such as environmental sustainability, social inclusion, economic growth and partnerships.

In 2024, UE – Varna ranks as follows:

• SDG 4 – Quality Education: 1001 – 1500
• SDG 5 – Gender Equality: 601 – 800
• SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: 801 – 1000
• SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: 1001 – 1500

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 include over 2,152 universities from 125 countries and territories.
