On May 26, 2025, a distinguished delegation from UE-Varna embarked on a week-long visit to Kırklareli University in Turkey. Led by Prof. Dr. Evgeni Stanimirov, Rector of UE-Varna, the delegation includes Prof. Dr. Stoyan Marinov, long-serving Dean of the Faculty of Management and Director of the College of Tourism, and Mr. Svilen Stolarov, Assistant Rector.
On the first day of the visit, welcomed with great hospitality by Prof. Dr. Rengin Ak, Rector of Kırklareli University, alongside Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Kadriye Eylem Özkaya Lassalle, faculty representatives, and the Erasmus office, the delegation engaged in high-level discussions aimed at deepening academic and research ties between the two institutions.
The visit’s dynamic agenda features extensive campus tours, strategic meetings, and thought-provoking dialogues with students from Indonesia and Turkey, reinforcing UE-Varna’s commitment to fostering a globally integrated learning environment.
UE-Varna’s delegation is deeply impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities and forward-thinking educational strategies of Kırklareli University, which serves a thriving community of 26,000 students. This partnership, initiated just a year ago, has already resulted in successful student exchanges under the Erasmus+ program. Looking ahead to the 2025/2026 academic year, the number of incoming Erasmus+ students at UE-Varna is set to double, a testament to the university’s growing reputation for academic excellence and international inclusivity.
Throughout the week, the UE-Varna delegation will continue strengthening this collaboration, engaging in further meetings with academic leaders at Kırklareli University to explore new avenues for bilateral research, student mobility, and joint educational initiatives.
