А PhD candidate from the Department of Marketing at the University of Economics – Varna, completed a short-term mobility at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during the period 15–19 June 2026.
The mobility was carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme and aimed to support the doctoral candidate’s research activities and broaden his knowledge and competencies in the fields of marketing, finance, economics, and sustainable development. During his stay, Mr Kirov presented his doctoral research dedicated to the role of commercial banks in promoting the green transition in Bulgaria, held meetings with lecturers and researchers from the host university, and discussed opportunities for future academic cooperation.
Within the framework of the programme, the doctoral candidate worked together with members of UADE’s academic staff, including Adriana Peña, Director of the Department of Marketing; Pablo Salinas, Director of the Department of Finance; and Martín Álvarez, Head of the Institute for Economic Research.
Discussions were held on the current state, challenges, and future prospects for the development of the Argentine economy, as well as on contemporary trends in the fields of finance and marketing practices. As part of the programme, meetings were also organised with representatives of the banking sector in Argentina.
The mobility contributed to the expansion of professional contacts and the exchange of good practices. It was another step in strengthening the partnership between the University of Economics – Varna and UADE, creating opportunities for future joint research initiatives. In addition to the academic programme, the doctoral visit provided an opportunity to explore Argentina’s cultural, historical, and business environment, turning the mobility into a valuable professional and personal experience.
