Official start of the 7th International Staff Week at the University of Economics – Varna

On 29 June 2026, the University of Economics – Varna welcomed participants to the 7th International Staff Week. Organized by the International Relations Office, the event is being held from 29 June to 3 July 2026.

This year, the University of Economics – Varna welcomes representatives of 18 universities and organizations, part of the Erasmus+ programme, from 13 countries across three continents. The participants were warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Radan Miryanov, PhD, Vice Rector for International Relations and Partnerships, who officially opened the event, Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Zhechev, PhD, Head of the Marketing Department and Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator at the UE-Varna, and Dr. Slavena Tsoneva, Head of the International Relations Office.

Throughout the week, participants will exchange best practices on key topics related to the future of higher education and international cooperation. The programme features discussions on effective approaches to engaging Generation Z, the growing role of AI in education, and dedicated networking sessions aimed at fostering new international partnerships and expanding cooperation between higher education institutions.

In addition to the programme, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the University of Economics – Varna, discover the history, culture and traditions of Bulgaria and the city of Varna, and present their own institutions, countries and successful practices in the field of international cooperation.

The International Staff Week aims to promote the exchange of professional expertise, strengthen existing international partnerships, and create opportunities for new collaborations both within the Erasmus+ Programme and beyond.
