The University of Economics – Varna is expecting a visit by alumni from Nigeria in November.
UE – Varna will welcome Dr. I. L. Jack, who has graduated the University 40 years ago. At the moment Dr. Jack is the Executive Director of the Nigeria – Sao Tome and Principe Joint Development Authority.
His visit was initiated by Evgeni Raychev, Head of the International Relations Office at the University of Economics – Varna, with the assistane of the Embassy of Bulgaria to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Invitation to visit UE – Varna also received His Excellency Djazalde Aguiar, Charge D’affaires at the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe to Nigeria, Mr. Jimmy Imo, Special Adviser to the Governor of the Imo State in Nigeria, Dr. Sunnie Omeiza-Michael, Director of Research and Advocacy at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mr. Abimbola Olashore, member of the LCCI and Chairman of the Olashore International Highschool in Osun State, Nigeria.
Ms. Oluwabunmi Amao – Director of the Centre for Black and African Art and Civilization in Lagos, Nigeria, and Prof. Sunday Ododo, Director of the National Theatre of Nigeria, received visit invitations as well.
All invitations were given personally by Mr. Raychev in the presence of His Excellency Yanko Yordanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Nigeria, during their meetings with representatives of Nigerian business, cultural, and educational institutions.
During his stay in Nigeria, the Head of the IRO was a special guest at the opening of the very first Abuja Art Centre for Creative Art. The Centre is equipped with an exhibition hall for contemporary art, a recording and TV studio, and a film set.
