Levon Hampartzoumian received an honorary doctorate from the University of Economics – Varna at its centenary celebrations on 1 Oct 2020. The University’s Rector, Prof. Evgeni Stanimirov, presented Levon Hampartzoumian with the University of Economics – Varna’s highest honour, making him Doctor honoris causa for his contribution to the development of Bulgaria’s banking system.
The ceremony was part of the events marking the 100-year anniversary of Bulgaria’s first higher school of economics. The ceremony was attended by many distinguished guests, diplomatic representatives, central and local government officials, judges, HEI rectors, partners and friends of UE – Varna, members of faculty, admin officers and students.
