Important information for traveling abroad

Britain has introduced new rules for entering the country. All persons traveling to the United Kingdom must hold an international passport, which is valid until the end of the stay in the UK. Romania introduces a 14-day quarantine upon entering the country.

Not subject to quarantine:

  • Persons who have been vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 and must have been vaccinated before entering Romania at least ten days have elapsed since the completion of the full vaccination schedule. The administration of the vaccine and the date of completion of the full vaccination schedule shall be demonstrated by an EU digital COVID certificate or a document issued by the health authority where it was vaccine, in the language of the country concerned and in English.
  • Persons presenting a negative RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 performed up to 72 hours before boarding the vehicle (for public transport passengers) or entering Romania (for travelers with their own transport). The negative result of the RT-PCR test is proved digitally EU COVID certificate or with the relevant document issued in the language of the country concerned and in English.

In case of a negative PCR test, the persons can stay in Romania for a maximum of 3 days (72 hours)!
