According to Art. 104 of The Statutes of the University of Economics - Varna, bachelor degree students can enroll in two major subjects, irrespective of the type of tuition (full-time or part-time).
Training in the second major subject begins in the fifth semester and is carried out in accordance with an individual study plan. Applicants are admitted at the beginning of the academic year by way of competitive selection based on the first and second academic year average grade, which must be higher than very good 5.00, and within the number of openings for the respective major subjects, approved by the Academic Council. Students applying for the major subjects of Tourism and International Economic Relations must take an entrance examination in a foreign language (English, German or French) if they have not done so already. The examination grade must be higher than good 4.00.
Training in a second major subject is provided for a full-time training fee set by a Ministerial Ordinance and an order of the Rector.
The individual study plans for a second major subject include only the specialized subjects for that field.
